About the association
What is SAIF?
SAIF is the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors. Established in 1989, it represents independent funeral directors and promotes good practice within the profession.
As an independent, family-run funeral director in Doncaster, we are proud to be part of this association. You can speak directly to our team, ask questions and take the time you need to discuss a funeral that feels right for your family.

Continuing inspections
SAIF members undergo quality assurance assessments and continuing inspections, including checks on premises, care facilities and records.
Professional oversight
Membership is voluntary, but meeting its standards is a condition of belonging. SAIF is a trade association providing professional oversight.

Grief is different for everyone. Sometimes it helps to speak to someone outside your immediate circle.
SAIF Care offers bereavement support to clients of SAIF members, including a telephone careline and email support.
