Multimedia options
From a single photograph to a tribute set to music, there are many ways to reflect someone’s life. You can keep things simple or include several elements. We’ll discuss what your chosen venue can provide and explain any additional charges before you decide.
01 · Music
Choose music for entering the chapel, a quiet moment of reflection and leaving the service. Favourite songs, hymns, classical pieces or something unexpected can all hold special meaning.
Tell us the title and artist, including the exact version if you have a preference. We’ll check availability and agree where each piece fits with your celebrant or minister.
02 · Photographs
A single photograph can provide a gentle focus during the ceremony. You may prefer a portrait, a happy family moment or an image connected with a favourite place or hobby.
Send the original digital photograph where possible. We can help check that it is suitable for the venue’s screen and discuss how you would like it displayed.
03 · Visual tributes
A slideshow can bring together moments from childhood, family life, friendships, holidays and the things they loved. It may play during a period of reflection or be arranged as a tribute set to a chosen piece of music.
Choose the photographs you would like included and put them in your preferred order. We’ll confirm the available format, length, number of photographs and preparation deadline with you.
04 · Video & recorded messages
A short home video or a recorded message from someone unable to attend may be a meaningful part of the service, where the venue’s system supports it.
Please speak to us before preparing a finished video. We’ll check the file requirements, sound, running time and suitability for playback, and help coordinate it with the rest of the ceremony.
05 · Webcasting
Where available, a webcast allows family and friends who cannot attend in person to watch the service online. This can help include people who live far away or are unable to travel.
We’ll confirm availability, any charge and how the viewing link is shared. Access arrangements and any period for watching afterwards depend on the venue and provider.
06 · Recordings & keepsakes
Some venues offer a recording of the service or a keepsake copy of a visual tribute. Families may find comfort in returning to the words, music and memories in their own time.
Ask us about the formats available, what is included, the cost and how long a copy remains available to obtain. Please request this during the arrangements so we can check the options in good time.
Preparing your tribute
You do not need to put everything together before talking to us. We can help you work out what to choose and how to send it.
A thoughtful selection is often more effective than trying to include every photograph. Include different stages of life and the people, places and interests that mattered most. If you only have printed photographs, ask us about the best way to provide them.
Music, readings and visual tributes all form part of the service time. We’ll help coordinate them with your celebrant or minister so the ceremony feels comfortable and unhurried.
Your chosen venue
Multimedia facilities and packages vary between crematoria, churches and other venues. We’ll confirm what is available for your funeral before anything is ordered.
Memoria Doncaster & South Yorkshire Crematorium: visual tributes are displayed using the projector and screen. Speak to us about the music, tribute, webcast and recording options for your service.
Rosehill Crematorium: we’ll confirm the available music and multimedia arrangements with you. Coloured or themed chapel lighting is not available.
There is no need to include multimedia if you would prefer a simpler service. We’re here to help you make choices that feel personal and appropriate.
