Website analytics

We use optional analytics to understand how many browsers visit our direct cremation website and which types of websites refer them.

Your choice

Analytics only starts after you select “Accept analytics”. You can decline without affecting the website or our services. To change your choice or stop future tracking, use “Analytics preferences” in the website footer and select “Decline”.

What is recorded

If you accept, your browser stores a random identifier and your preference for up to 90 days. Each page view records a random event identifier, that browser identifier, the date in UK time and a broad referral category, such as Google or Facebook. The analytics records do not include your name, email, IP address, full referring URL or search terms. The identifier is specific to this website.

A declined preference is also remembered for up to 90 days so we do not repeatedly ask. If you clear your browser storage, you will be asked again.

Who sees it

Statistics continue to be held by our existing K. Dixon analytics service on ChatGPT Sites and the report is restricted to K. Dixon Funerals. These records are used to measure website activity, not for advertising profiles. Declining later stops future tracking; it does not remove earlier records.
